12-31-10 Me to Babe

Hi Babe:

Glad you liked the fake fireplace?

I just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and truly hope your wishes come true for 2011. I am working on one New Years resolution which I believe may make you happy if I can achieve it, and I will keep you informed as to my success.

How are you coping with the snow fall from last week? NY has made the headlines here for the amount of snow and the trouble it has caused. From what I remember, the main roads are probably clear, except for Market lane. Please be careful if you are shoveling. Don't do it.

So, do you have any plans for New Years festivities. As for me I am planning to do two things. One is at 9:00PM to watch the Times Square ball drop on TV, so I can share the New Year coming in with you on the east coast. Then, three hours later, I plan to go for a walk some two blocks from the mobile park, which has a super clear view of the hotels on the Strip because they are going to have a fireworks display from the top of some of the hotels. So, my idea is to walk around the "desert" and watch the fireworks and bring in the New Year, then go home.

Well, I dare say that my new years resolution has been broken already. I tried to make the resolution to think less and less about you. Oh what can I say, we both knew it would not last. I do mean it when I tell you that I wish you the best for yourself, for your happiness health wise, financially, and mentally stress free. And I also want to thank you for everything that you have taught me, done with me, and shared a part of your life with me.

Hi Babe:

As always, be careful with the coming snow storm. I know I should not worry so much, you want your independence, but I will still worry for a while. Hope you had a good Christmas, Santa was good, and everything is well with the boys also.

I do have a story to share with you. First, Vincent Ciano, the guy who gave me the book, closed on his loan on Friday. I saw him, and he is happy to get rid of his mortgage payment. The story I have to tell starts with a guy named Terry, 79, from England (a PIP), who is buying a home here with a Reverse Mortgage. His claim to fame is his wife, 77 whose name is Phillipa! (that’s how she spells it). Well, as you can guess we hit it off right off the bat. Although he was not completely sold on the idea of buying a home and having no mortgage payments to make, by the time we shared stories about his wife and you, well, lets say, he is buying the house. And yes, I did show him a few pictures I still have on my phone. Guess I should owe you part of the commission since because of you, that he is going through me for the mortgage.

Another story I have is about Russell Schoeneck. This guy is in his 70’s, has a serious case of Parkinsons, and his wife who is a lot younger than he is, is divorcing him and taking everything she can from him. According to Russell, she has a lawyer who is taking all of the proceeds from a Reverse Mortgage (that’s about half the value of the house) plus another $10,000 for a new car for her, plus most of the furnishings from the house. Russell says, says she is moving to Texas and leaving him here by himself with his disease to fend for himself. How cold can a person be? He looks at it that by her leaving, and his getting the Reverse Mortgage, he can keep his house although he will not have any equity left in it. He says he will be dependent on the Government and the Senior organizations here in Vegas to care for him. Sad!

See, I always say, plan ahead. Be able to count on someone else to be with, who you can love, and depend on. Seek out happiness, Babe. Don’t grow old by yourself.

Again, be careful with the snow storm, be good.
