9-24-10 Me to Babe
Hi Babe:

Want to share a story with you of a man I met with the other day, that in his own way, he has affected me in my life. This is a story about a man in his late 70s who lives alone in a one-bedroom condominium, and whose wife has passed about five years ago. After ringing the doorbell, he opened the door, and I faced an old man with a dingy dirty white T-shirt. My first thought was, this is not going to be a good appointment. I felt this might be one of those situations, that people are not clean, they don't take care of themselves, and you know me, I do not want to be sitting among filth. However, as I walked into the guy’s condominium; he had decent furniture, nice tile floor, and from what I could see, which was the living room, dining area and kitchen, it was fairly decent and not dirty. I sat down at the dining room table to discuss with him about the benefits of a reverse mortgage, as I always do with everybody. After talking to him for almost a half hour, to 45 minutes, I noticed that there was a double picture frame, one of those that fold like a book on the table. It wasn't facing me so I did not notice the pictures in it. But after our discussion about the mortgage was over, the gentleman’s, name is Vincent Ciano, that's when he told me about his wife passing five years earlier. Since that time, he has had very little motivation to live, and to continue on with his life. He showed me the pictures in the frame, and they were easily taken in the 1940s early 50s. He spoke about how much he loved his wife, and what she meant to him. He told me a about their life together before they got married, and about their 63 years of marriage. As part of the conversation I told him that he was very lucky for having had such a wonderful relationship with a woman, his partner, during those years. He told me, that he was blessed for the time that they were together, things they did, places they visited, and yes, even the memories they shared. He mentioned that after her death he had written an article for a publication which was read by a woman who contacted him to give him praise about the article, the style of writing and the way he was able to put thoughts to paper. During the conversation with this woman, he mentioned about his wife, just like he had mentioned it to me, I suppose he talks to anyone and everyone who will listen, so he can keep the memory of his wife fresh and alive. She convinced him to put his thoughts and experiences on paper, which he did. This woman took all this information and made it into a book which she had published for him. He was also asked to put some of his thoughts and experiences from the book on some web site on the Internet. This I'm not sure how it developed but he got many, many responses. Anyway, I told him that his life story, or part of what he told me about it, was very exciting and the thought he was able to put it in writing and turn it into a book was fantastic; and I told him how much I loved the idea of what he did and I told him how lucky he was to have had her in his life for all those years. Then before leaving, I asked him where I could buy a copy of the book, so I could read and feel the love that he shared with his wife. With that, he went to his desk, took out a copy of the book, and proceeded to autograph it for me. I was so touched by this man's story, about his life with his wife, about the love they shared, I promised him I would read the entire book and get back to him. I believe, in the long run he will get the reverse mortgage, but that is of no consequence anymore. I will do whatever I can to help him and then some.

After I left, I went to Dunkin' Donuts to get a cup of coffee and read part of the book. Then, if I tell you I could only get to page six, because my eyes were tearing so much, that I could no longer read. Know that in those six pages, I've only read the dedication of the book of his wife, and some responses that he received to the article that he wrote on that web site I told you about, from complete strangers who read his story and had to respond to him. Later on that evening, I tried to read some more, and again only got through a couple of more pages before I was crying. I was crying, not so much for the story of his life, but for the love that is showing in the words he uses. Somehow, at some point in time, I will get through this book, as I will get through getting him a mortgage, and I hope that in the future years I can keep in touch with Vincent, and perhaps even, God willing, have you meet him. I will also, if you would like, send you the book so you can read it yourself and see just what I’m trying to say in this letter to you.

Babe, throughout our relationship, I have done some crazy things for you, like putting your picture on four credit cards, or putting your picture on a postage stamp, or naming a star after you, and getting you everything and anything that is pink (like a silly thing such as a pink knife) or have so many pictures of you throughout the house or even having your pictures on a video frame on the kitchen counter, or even something new I'm working on which is a video made up of your pictures put to music lyrics. Yet, I hope I get the inspiration in the near future to possibly write one about you, about us, about the times that we were working together, going on vacations, going shopping and even to be able to put in words what you have meant to me in my life, how much I have loved you. Maybe if I put this in writing, maybe after I'm gone you will understand what you meant to me and what we have missed by not being together: it's a shame, it's a shame that we have even missed one day apart. But maybe that's what I will have to do; is follow in Vincent's footsteps and find out how to get something published to leave it for you and your kids and whoever you want, so that everyone can know just how much I love you.

Me.

Oh, I forgot to tell you he has a Dachshund dog. A male, 13 years old. Called Rambo. And they live for each other, now.

Hi Babe:

Its Saturday night, and I am bored. So, Im working on a map of Vegas to send to John. In it, its highlighted the different areas and what they are know for, good areas are marked, and bad crime areas are defined. Also, there will be a list of good neighborhoods with each zip code for him to look up individual zip areas on that web site I sent you a few days ago. All he has to do is log onto the web site and enter the zip code he wants to look up, and the available houses or condos will show up.

Please pass this on to him. It will be a couple of days to get everythign ready and I'll mail it to him. And, please, let me know if you got your computer yet.

Hi Babe:

Please tell me if you have gotten back your computer? Is it working perfectly right for you?

The reason I'm writing is to share with you a real estate web site I will be sending John for him to see what is selling here in Vegas. With this site he can view houses, or condos, and by individual zip codes. I'm working on sending him a map which has the zip codes and my estimation of which ones he should look into and which ones to stay away from. The web site is: TeamTaylorLV.com the agent which he will eventually deal with is Spencer Walden. I'll send him this info over the weekend, or you can share it with him.

Must tell you the weather in the evenings is just perfect. You know me, I can't easily say good things about anything, but the weather and Vegas are just great. I am trying to take short walks at night to breathe that "fresh air" you always wanted me to take in. Because of my foot, I must be careful and not over do it, but its just so nice, its indescribable, and it must get done. I wish we could take these walks together.

Write soon,
Me

Hi again Babe:

There is a product called "Great Stuff" sold in Home Depot & Lowes that comes in a can with a plastic nozzle which you attach to it, and it sprays a kind if liquid foam which expands upon hitting the air. Its purpose is to spray this stuff into opening from outside into the house, around pipes entering the home, in fact anything you may think a mouse can get into. Spray a bit at a time because this thing expands to fill the hole and is water repellent. After it dries into a solid you can cut so its even with the hole or pipe.

The can cost about $3.88, and it may help close up those pesky holes with are like highways for these tiny creatures. Try it outside before applying it so you (or Mike) can get the hang of the spray, and how much to apply, before actually plugging any holes. If you need any more information on this, call me.

See, I write almost every day even though I may not send them all. And, thanks for your kind words about my "rotundness", although I am not happy with the way I feel.

Write soon,
Me

Sorry, but the pictures did not go through the first time. I'm trying something new to get them to you. Hope this works.

I took these myself using a tripod this weekend at Red Rock. This place is near here (15 min) off Charleston Blvd. The place is just beautiful. You would love it also.

Hi,I read your email. I definitely do not want another credit card. I was able to get a Capital One card with a $500.00 limit so I keep that in case of emergency. Please don't get any cards in my name at all. I'm working very hard to get out of the credit situation and I'm doing OK. Thanks. I'll let John know about the age limit at the park, unless you've already emailed him. Thanks again for everything and all your help for John and Melanie. Talk to you soon.

HI Babe:
Must say, your picture has made a big hit at work. Since I placed it on my desktop on the computer, some of the people at work have seen it. They also noticed how differrent I was acting at work, so I told them about your picture and what it means to me.

Anyway, the reason for todays email, is to tell you that I have a credit card I can send you for you to have. I know you are saying, "no", now, but think about it for a minute. Can you use one in case of an emergency? Or if you need something to get and don't have the cash at the time, then you can use it. I'm ordering one in your name, so if you say, yes, then I'll send it to you. If you say no, well, I don't know what to do with a card with your name on it. What do you think? Are you using the PH or he F, in your name now? If it the F, then I will have to change my insurance since its under PH.

Oh, and don't worry about charging anything, remember, its only money. I can handle it, especially if you need it, want it, or deserve it!

I found out about the age limit in this park. The minimum age to live here is now 35 years old. That will help John make a better decision. The one thing, Im going to do in the next day or so, is to go to a Realtor and see if I can put my license with him, and be able to get Listings over to John.

Okay, enough for today.

Hi Babe:
And, you said, you did not takle good pictues. Thank you again for sending me this beautiful picture of you. If you look this good on film, WOW, how you must look in real life. Now, I add, your special smell, and pretend to touch your magnificent skin, and the feel of your lucious lips. My compliments to whoever took the picture.

The lighting is just right. The angle is perfect. The focus is just right. The eyes in the corner, looking at the camera. The model is gorgeous. The smirk in your smile is to die for. And, you are beutiful! Guess you can say, I can't stop looling at it. Oh, yes, its now my wallpaer on my phone.

When I come down from my "high", I will send you one of me. I have been taking a few of myself to give you, but its in no way going to compare to yours. First, Im not a pretty as you! Im getting older, you are not. I have gained a few (okay, a lot) of pounds, you have not changed. My hair is grayer, your is blonder. Also, just got a haircut so its very short for practicallity. Yours, although a bit shorter, it looks beautiful. If I did not know you, I would fall in love with you all over again, immediately!

Thanks for giving me Christmas in September. Should I ask for more?
Me
